Be Resilent
Resilience, buoyancy, enthusiasm, belief, trust, coolness, self-reliance, certain, sure, committed, firm, steadfast and poised. These are all words synonymous with, and/or complementary to the word - Confidence. They are at the nucleus of what “Stay Sexy Thursday” epitomizes. I know it’s late, I’ve been busy, but know here and now that when life sends me a challenge, I work hard to face it head on. Hey, I like a challenge as it makes me sweat a little and forces me to lengthen my stride.

Carpe Diem
Happy
Stay Sexy Thursday - I'm tired, both physically and mentally. Living
the dream, and probably parts of yours too. Raising the proverbial
glass to the short, yet, undeniably profound words "Carpe Diem." So,
after you drink from your proverbial glass of awesome, go out and pluck
the life out of each day, just as Horace encouraged his mates. But
before he said to pluck the junk out of each day,
he declares "ut melius, quidquid erit, pati." That's what's up right
there! Confidence begins with some small measure of confirmation in
regards to something relating to you, and it builds, and when you get
there, it sure was one heck of a ride. It IS much better to endure to
whatever will be, as what will be is largely in part to the choices you
make. Sexy starts first in the head, then with the heart. =D

Long for Love
Happy Stay Sexy Thursday!
At trivia night, there was a question about one of the characters from
the movie "moulin rouge." After a brief discussion we decided that the
person in question was responsible for two key lines in the film:
"But I know about art and love, if only because I long for it with every fiber of my being."
and of course
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
Let us long for love with every fiber of our being and let it give us
hope that it's there for the taking. Let's give Love for all the
different relationships we have in our lives. Love is multiplicative,
so let's embrace opportunities to increase that capacity to do so.
Sexy
starts within us and then comes oozing out our pores. =D

Take Action
Happy
Stay Sexy Thursday! It's a late post, but it's been a busy day!
Several years ago, I made some big changes in my life. I found myself in a sub-culture that I didn't understand, nor did I feel like I fit in. It was a new life I had chosen and was not quite sure where I fit into this new world. I felt like I was meant for something more, something different, something bigger, but what? Finally, I realised that it was up to me to decide what my driving force was and what passions I wanted to pursue.
Take action in your own lives to work towards the things
we want in life. It's okay to change course, or to decide on a new
destination. A smart man I know once said "An organization is perfectly
designed to get the results it gets." (Two points if you know the
person that said this) If you don't like the output, change the input.
Sexy starts first in the head, then with the heart.

Nothing to lose, and everything to gain
Happy
Stay Sexy Thursday! I confess, I have a crush. I don't fear
rejection, if he says "no" then I get the easy way out. If he says
"yes" then there is a lot of work ahead. However, I am afraid to take
too big of steps for fear of mucking it all up before it's started. So
here's the advice I gave friends back in high school that I now want to
tell myself "you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain."
As I pull up my big girl pants on the subject of crushes, I think of
the many moments I have spent worrying about tomorrow, or what may or
may not happen on Sunday, and not enjoying today. Today, I strive to
make it the best day so far, and I will let tomorrow's goal be the same.
Sexy starts with me. Or you. However you want to interpret that. =D

Body Image
Today is a special stay sexy Thursday. A big shout out to Papa Chuy. Way to go, Pop! Congrats on your citizenship!
After our game tonight a few of us talked about body image. I wish I
could quote my friend verbatim, but here's the bottom line: being happy
and accepting of your body gives you freedom. You are - Free to love
yourself. Free to love others. Most importantly, you have the freedom to
be loved in return.
Sexy starts now, with you. First in the head then with the heart

Be Happy
Be
happy, it's Stay Sexy Thursday. I read this today and thought it
perfect after the struggles I've had this week. We have ultimate
control over our happiness.
"The more we rely on the Savior’s
grace, the more we will feel that we are on the track our Father in
Heaven has intended for us.
…
We do matter. We determine our happiness.
You and I are ultimately in charge of our own happiness.
My wife, Harriet, and I love riding our bicycles…we don’t pay too much
attention to how far we go or how fast we travel in comparison with
other riders.
However, occasionally I think we should be a bit more
competitive. I even think we could get a better time or ride at a higher
speed if only we pushed ourselves a little more. And then sometimes I
even make the big mistake of mentioning this idea to my wonderful wife.
Her typical reaction to my suggestions of this nature is always very
kind, very clear, and very direct. She smiles and says, “Dieter, it’s
not a race; it’s a journey. Enjoy the moment.”
How right she is!"
