Time Flies By

Fear.

One of my favorite quotes is “Don’t let fear hold you back when you should go forward.”  I know many of you have heard it before, but it’s something I continue ask myself every day.  A few weeks ago, I talked about courage and overcoming, but today, let’s shake it up a little, shall we?  From the same source as the above quote, comes another quote on my list of “Top Five Favorite Quotes” and all that comes with it.

“You can’t love people in slices.  You take them for the good and the bad - together”

To love whole heartedly, doesn’t mean you will always like the person, but you love them despite the imperfections.  It goes not just for the close ones in your life, or for the ones that you choose to keep within your sphere of influence, but to love yourself first!  You can’t love yourself in slices either.  Love your whole self.  I don’t spend my days pining about how I will never have the physique of a Barbie doll.  It simply isn’t who I am, and it’s not who I want to be either.  I love the person that I am.  I love the path I have chosen that is leading me towards the person I want to become.  I appreciate the journey I have been on thus far in becoming the person I am today.

Love yourself first.  If you can’t love yourself first, it will be much more difficult to allow someone to love you completely.  Remember, love is multiplicative.  I don’t want to marry my “better half.” Someday, I hope to meet and marry a man who is as whole a person as I am, but together, we can become a single unit.  A family is a single unit, made up of individual parts.  Love and allow yourself to be loved by others, but most importantly by yourself.
Sexy starts with you.  Love is multiplicative.  1 (man) x 1 (woman) = 1 (pair).
First in the head, then with the heart.
